- Windows: Update PuTTY from 0.68 to 0.70, which fixes PuTTY vulns vuln-indirect-dll-hijack-2 & vuln-indirect-dll-hijack-3. Note that x2goclient was only ever affected if the permissions on the installation folder were changed to give users write access, or if x2goclient was copied/extracted to a folder where users could write.
- src/sshmasterconnection.cpp: Do not attempt to perform Interaction with SSH Server (e.g. for changing expired password) when using GSSAPI/Kerberos because the interaction code does not support it yet. Fixes: #1258
Note that it was assumed incorrectly that this was a Windows-specific bug, and this is why X2Go Client for Windows 4.1.1.0 was never released.
The installer, x2goclient-4.1.1.1-2018.03.01-setup.exe , is available under this folder:
X2Go Client is currently only released as a 32-bit x86 build. Both 32-bit x86 and 64-bit x86 versions of Windows are supported via this build.
These versions of Windows without the latest (specified) service pack / major update may be compatible, but are rarely (if ever) tested. They are not officially supported.
Corresponding server versions of Windows are also supported, but receive minimal testing:
Any incompatibility or bug with a specific version of Windows should be reported via our bug-tracker.
Deprecated versions of Windows are going to become incompatible in the coming months. Cygwin has already dropped support for them, and upgrading all the Cygwin components is planned for the coming months.
