 X2Go is a project under the umbrella of the [[https://www.orca-ev.de|Open Remote Computing Association - orca e.V.]] - a [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registered_association_(Germany)|registered association]] under [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%BCrgerliches_Gesetzbuch|Germanys Civil Code]] and also registered as a charitable organization, similar to a [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/501(c)(3)_organization|501(c)(3) organization]] in the US.
 As such, it is not only possible to donate money to X2Go via orca e.V., but the donations are also tax deductible for German tax subjects.
+**Sponsorship drive:** May 16th, 2025 is Day of Humanity - which means betterplace will boost donations to our projects by 15% (max. 15 EUR)!
+All one-time donations made on May 16, 2025, via betterplace.org to our projects will be matched by 15%, until the platform-wide matching budget of 8000 EUR is used up. Recurring donations, donations via external donation forms, partner platforms, and fundraising campaigns are excluded. Donations of up to and including 100 EUR will be matched with 15%. For donations over 100 EUR, a flat 15 EUR will be added.
