+
 +==== Fedora at LISA16 Expo, Boston MA 2016-12-07 & 2016-12-08 ====
 +LISA stands for Large Installation System Administration. X2Go developer Mike DePaulo is also a packager and ambassador for the Fedora Linux Project, so his primary job was to man the Fedora booth and talk about Fedora. It was hard to show off X2Go to passers-by because Mike forgot the HDMI & VGA adapters for his (triple-boot) Macbook Air.
 +
 +Nonetheless, he was able to show it off to a few people, including FPL (Fedora Project Lead) Matthew Miller.
 +
 +Mike & Matt also agreed that Fedora's efforts to use dply to let people to try out Fedora could benefit from X2Go.

 +==== IBM Linux on Power Anwendertag, Böblingen, Germany (2016-10-05) ====
 +  * Neither booth nor talk, but Stefan#1 was around to represent X2Go and met some interesting people - some of them already using X2Go and praising its features.
 +  * A rather controversial recap of the events can be found at http://if-blog.de/hb/damit-ich-mich-besser-fressen-kann/(in German) - the funny thing is that it derides most of the event, but in the final few paragraphs, it praises X2Go as the tool that IBM could use to boost POWER sales - if they'd only realize its worth.

 +==== Talk (in German) @ TUEBIX, Tübingen, Germany (2016-06-11) ====

 +See http://www.tuebix.org/2016/programm/stefan-baur-linux-und-x2go-ein-effektiver-und-guenstiger-schutz-vor-ransomware-auf-windows-systemen/ for details regarding the talk.
 +
 +This year, Stefan rocked the show alone, with a surprise visit by Ulrich Sibiller after the talk.
 +We had a room that seats 64 people, and about 2/3 - 3/4 of the seats were occupied.  That's quite an improvement over last year's TUEBIX, where h1 only had one visitor to his workshop.
 +
 +==== Booth & Talk (in German) @ Linux-Infotag Augsburg, Augsburg, Germany (2016-04-16) ====
 +The booth was staffed by Heinz-M. Graesing and Stefan Baur.

 +Stuttgart's Linux User Group will have a booth at the Hobby & Elektronik fair again and will present<del> X2Go-TCE and the Electronic Glovebox, amongst</del> other things.
 +
 +Update: While the actual event will take place, as of now it looks as if no member of the X2Go team will be present and there might not be any X2Go demo systems at all.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

 +
 +==== Chaos Computer Club Stuttgart, Germany (2015-02-12) ====
 +We gave a talk (in German, once again) at the Chaos Computer Club Stuttgart's monthly open lecture event, taking place at the Stuttgart Public Library. The topic was the various use cases of X2Go, shown using some real-world examples.
 +
 +German description is here: http://www.cccs.de/events/201502-x2go/

 +==== X2GoHackTrain 2014 - cancelled :-( ====
 +Thanks to German Rail retiring (in Blade Runner style) the heritage railbusses from service, there will be no X2GoHackTrain in 2014. :'( Had they been available, a combination of train ride, BBQ at a lake side, and an optional short hike would have been planned.

 +==== 2013 ====
 +
 +=== X2GoHackTrain 2013 (2013-09-15) ===
 +
 +Sadly, neither Heinz nor Alex were able to make it to the 2013 event, but Mihai was back, and Mihai and Stefan were joined by a few fellow Linux/X2Go enthusiasts from LinuxHaus Stuttgart. This time, we had the entire dining car for ourselves as our rolling party location, and after having lunch in the station diner again, we got a guided tour around the stables and horses of the state-run stud farm.
 +It seems that nobody remembered to take pictures, though. :-(

 +=== Google Summer or Code 2013 ===
 +The X2Go Project did not get accepted for GSOC2013 :-(
 +
 +==== 2012 ====
 +
 +=== X2GoHackTrain 2012 (2012-09-30) ===
 +X2GoHackTrain 2012 started out as a plan for a company-sponsored BBQ for the X2Go core developers.
 +During the initial planning stages, it turned out that Alex (X2Go Co-Founder) would not be able to attend during summer due to his personal commitments, and by the time he would be able to attend, temperatures would be too low for an enjoyable BBQ.
 +
 +So, X2GoHackTrain to the rescue: As the owner of the company that wanted to sponsor the BBQ is also a member of a volunteer organization that maintains a heritage Diesel railbus, the decision was made to gather inside the train, have lunch together at a railway station diner along the way, and visit a car museum.
 +
 +Participants in 2012 were: Heinz-M. Graesing (X2Go Co-Founder), Alex (X2Go Co-Founder), Mihai (X2Go Mac/Win Co-Developer until Mike#2 took over), Stefan (owner of BAUR-ITCS UG and sponsor of the event)
